Getting To Alex
If you're heading to Alexandra Headland on the Sunshine Coast, we highly recommend taking the inland route via Nambour Connection Road or Steve Irwin Way, especially during peak times. Please be patient when driving to and from the area, and if possible, consider carpooling with friends.
If you've flown from Melbourne to the Sunshine Coast and arrived at Maroochydore Airport, getting to Alexandra Headland is a breeze. It's just a short 15-minute drive from the airport. You can either hire a car, grab a taxi, or use a rideshare service to get there quickly and comfortably. The route is straightforward—just head south on the Sunshine Motorway and follow the signs to Alexandra Headland. Enjoy the scenic coastal views as you make your way to this beautiful spot!
Parking
Parking near Alexandra Headland Surf Club can be challenging due to limited space. To help out, we've partnered with the local community to offer parking at Mari Street Park, just around the corner from the Surf Club. A $25 donation to the local community group is appreciated for using this space.
Additionally, free parking is available at a nearby lot, with a courtesy shuttle bus running to and from the Surf Club. If you’re using this option, especially if you've taken the inland route, it's a convenient choice. Please ensure you park legally, as parking inspectors are active over the weekend.
